Dr Sheikh has trained under world-renowned surgeons across UK and Europe – and still continues to do so – to refine his techniques that help his patients achieve the best possible end result.
Dr Sheikh qualified form Kings College London in 2008 and began his dental implant education and training in 2010, after spending time in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as part of his dental foundation training and passing his Royal College of Surgeons exams in Edinburgh.
He received a Masters qualification in Implantology in 2012 – the youngest dentist on the Dental Implantology course at Manchester University to do so – and has since practiced primarily implant dentistry, from simple single-tooth implants to full arch complex implant procedures.
Dr Sheikh has treated over a 1000 implant patients over the last 12 years at his practices, and has placed and restored over 5000 implants.
Dr Sheikh also has a formal qualification is Dental Sedation (with Distinction) from University College London (UCL) to keep patients relaxed during complex procedures.
He is an accredited trainer in Dental Sedation with the Royal College of Surgeons.

Each patient will be met by a member of staff at the dental practice, who will ask you to fill-in a form with medical questions.
From thereon-in, Dr Sheikh will welcome you to the clinical room for a chat to establish your needs and wants.
A full clinical exam and xrays will be taken to assess the viability of the full arch implant teeth.
Discussion of the options and procedure, including their pros and cons, will take place. This is complimentary, with no obligations to commit!
If treatment is accepted, you will have 2 or 3 preliminary appointments – each usually a week apart – to gather further information.
This will involve steps such as taking a CBCT scan, an intra-oral scan or impressions, photographs, selection of teeth shape/size/colour, etc. to plan the procedure ready for the big day.
The Big Day!

3) Between 4 and 6 implants will

All this will be completed on the same day! At no stage will you have to wear dentures.
After a healing time of at least 4 months, once everything has settled and healed, you will then have appointments to make your permanent fixed teeth, which will be more refined, improving on the temporary set of teeth made.

We will provide you with guidance on how to take care of your teeth at home and provide overall oral health care advice.
Following the completion of your treatment, we are always on-hand to answer any questions. We may ask you to visit us again for one more check-up. (This is included in your original treatment).
Whether it’s replacing your already missing teeth or existing dentures, or that you have failing teeth as a result of gum (periodontal) disease and/or decay, all of which need to be removed, our treatment offering can give you fixed FULL IMPLANT TEETH (FIT).
Dr Sheikh will carry out an initial complimentary full clinical examination, X-ray imaging to discuss your dental needs and suitability. At this initial appointment, the full implant journey to having FULL IMPLANT TEETH (FIT) will be discussed, your questions answered and a clear cost of the treatment and future maintenance costs will be given.
A lot of practices, visiting surgeons and dentists can carry this type of treatment – it is nothing new. At our clinics, we will give you a personalised treatment in an environment which is tailer-made to this type of treatment offering.
We have all the equipment (in-house CBCT machine, intra-oral scanners, planning software and state-of-the-art surgeries) together with an experienced team of nurses and dental technicians to deliver the treatment, which has been successfully delivered continuously for over 10 years by Dr Sheikh.
The treatment is delivered by Dr Sheikh and him alone, from start to finish, as opposed to patients having to see a ‘treatment co-ordinator’ or the practice having to pay for a ‘visiting surgeon’ to carry out stages of the treatment.
When your existing teeth are removed, the underlying bone around the teeth can be utilised to put implants of the appropriate sizes – as assessed by our initial CBCT scanning – in the available bone. The implant design and positioning will be such that a certain, minimum stability of the implants can then immediately support a full set of fixed teeth on to the implants. The implants in effect act as the pillars of support for the fixed teeth.
Dr Sheikh uses an implant system and surgical techniques, together with his pre-surgery planning and experience, to ensure a good level of stability of the newly-placed implants so that fixed teeth are possible on the same day.
There are specific requirements that need to be followed in the months to follow – such as the need to maintain a soft or fluid-like diet – so as to allow the implants to biologically heal and ‘fuse’ with the bone ready for a permanent bridge after the initial 4 months of healing.
This initial stability of the implants that will be achieved is the first step on the road to successful overall treatment; these newly placed implants will then support fixed teeth – made to fit on the same day – so that you don’t have to put up with a denture of be without teeth whilst the implants heal with the bone they are placed in.
The final set of teeth, supported off the fully healed implants, will allow you to bite and chew on normal foods.
This may be the case, but FULL IMPLANT TEETH is possible for ALL!
Implants and implant treatments are now so versatile that they are suitable for ALL cases, irrespective of when teeth were removed, how long you’ve been wearing dentures, the extent of your ‘bone loss’ due to ‘gum disease’ or your age.
The implants can be placed in different anatomical structures to allow FULL FIXED TEETH to be possible.
There is a lot of talk about where there isn’t bone, as opposed to where there is. We use CBCT planning in the first instance to establish anatomical bone structures where different types of implants could be placed. As mentioned, the initial consultations will establish what is suitable for each patient, but the sure certainty is that there is a solution for everyone for fixed FULL IMPLANT TEETH.
The cost for fixed FULL IMPLANT TEETH is from £12,000. The precise cost can be given only after a full assessment.
The fixed fee will include all the planning stages, including CBCT scans, teeth removal, sedation to keep you relaxed during the surgery, temporary teeth delivered on the same day and a final, more permanent set of fixed teeth after a healing period of at least 4 months.
As with anything, whether you have your natural teeth with fillings or crowns or a simple denture replacement, maintenance is an on-going, life-long part of successful implant treatment as well.
You will need to see the hygienist every 3 or 4 months, you will need to see the dentist every 6 to 12 months for a general check to include xrays. The costs for these apply separately.
The teeth placed on the implants are subject to ‘wear and tear’ – just like the tyres of a car, for example – and their longevity is very much based on how they are used and looked after on a daily basis. A new set of teeth may be required years down the line, such as after 7 years, but again this is highly variable. A new fixed bridge cost is £6,500.
Fixed teeth may also be subject to minor breaks or chipping. This will inevitably happen. It may be that you were only “biting into a piece of bread”, but it needs to be accepted that minor breakages will occur, and the cost involved at repairing them will be at least £200; the exact amount depends on the extent of damage.
